Does anyone know what block this apartment is on?

Yes it is really sad. I saw this in the news earlier today. I'm glad it finally got reported, although if the woman was out of the house a lot and being abused a lot, it is sad it wasn't reported to the police earlier.

However, this happened on 40th Street between 9th & 10th Avenues, which I believe is Borough Park. The news is reporting it as Sunset Park though.

this is horrible-- but there needs to be A LOT more policing in our neighborhood... this is not an isolated case. I woke up on Sunday morning to see a group of kids passing by our house and covered in blood. I called the 72nd and they said if I did not see a fight it wasn't a priority and they would try to see if anyone was available to do a drive through. We have a lot of violent problems here, if this incident happened on the border of sunset/borough park is not the issue...what is at issue is why are these things happening in our hood? Why does our community allow this to happen? Why aren't more of us busy bodies? Why...

I know. I saw this and I just didn't even know what to say.

I thought the WPIX 11 news van was at the corner of 40th and 9th Avenue Wednesday evening to do a Thanksgiving story but sadly I know why now.

The police had a gang awareness forum a few weeks ago but gangs are not the only problem here and it will take more than public forums.
